Acceptance Allows you to Let Go of Additional Conflict: A Tip for Living Mindfully

Acceptance can be a challenging practice to integrate into our life. There is a difference between accepting what is and desiring what is happening in reality. When things in our life don’t go as expected, we create an additional conflict in our mind. We lessen suffering when we let go of the conflict of reality.

Take a moment to pause and recognize that you don’t have to agree with what is happening, but you can agree with the fact that it is the reality. When you can accept reality, you can let go of the additional conflict.

    Stress is usually a resistance to reality. My experience is that people do not want to accept that.
    But the video perfectly axplain the difference between acceptance and agreement. They are not the same, and should not be.
    Great post.
