Daily Morning Meditation: A 20 Minute Mindfulness Meditation for Focus

Create a safe and tranquil environment for yourself and commit to your meditation practice daily and experience the many benefits of consistency. Set aside the next 20 minutes for yourself. Start your day with this breath of life to focus and return to the now and be present.

I am honored to bring you this meditation especially written for Mike M., the community member who won our acts of kindness contest. Although the practice has been created for him, it will be a wonderful experience for all.

Let’s settle into this daily morning meditation. I invite you to make yourself comfortable. Find a position that you can be relaxed yet alert. Take a brief moment to connect with why you are coming to your practice. Acknowledge your motivations for this committed practice.

Breath in, I am aware I am breathing in, breathe out, I am aware I am breathing out.
Breathe in, I am aware of a thought arising in my mind, breathe out, I smile and let this thought pass.
Breathe in, I am aware of the space between thoughts, breathe out, I am calm and safe in this space.
Breathe in, I am in the present moment, breathe out, I know this is the only moment.
Breathe in, I am aware I am breathing in, breathe out, I am aware I am breathing out.

Headphones recommended for the optimal experience.
Do not listen while driving.
