Deep Sleep Meditation to Calm an Overactive Mind

Overactive mind Sleep

Let go of the overthinking, overactive mind and enjoy a healing, restful, deep sleep tonight. Whether your thoughts are in the past or the future, an overthinking mind can bring turmoil to your world and even in sleep. Tonight, release these feelings, calm the overactive mind and experience peace in this present moment. I will guide you to focus on the present moment, let go of worries about the past and anxieties about the future, and then relax your mind and body for a powerfully deep night’s sleep.

For a powerful experience to help calm the overactive, overthinking mind, this sleep meditation can be paired with this practice for the morning:

How can I drift off to sleep when the only way I am able to access this meditation is on my computer? I cannot find any CDs of your meditations. My computer is in the office. My bed is in the bedroom. I am told to make my room as dark as possible but the computer puts out a bright light. I do not want to “drift off to sleep” in my task chair. Your directions do not make sense.

Her directions make perfect sense. How quick you are to become annoyed and to scold Sara for your lack of options is concerning. You can access these meditations on your phone or tablet as well — or you could move your computer to another room, turn the brightness down on your monitor, even drape a blanket over it if all else fails. If you want the benefit of these meditations you will have to find a way to make it work for yourself, or try asking someone in your life who is tech savvy if they can help you figure out your options so you can listen. Don’t blame others, especially someone who actively and selflessly puts kindness out into the world for our sake. Hope it works out for you.

You can download many of the recordings on the podcast so they can be accessed on your phone. Perhaps that would work for you. Best of luck.

These meditations and hypnosis sessions are wonderful. Thank you so much Sara. I have had a lot of problems in my life and have never been able to afford the time to meditate. Coronavirus and lockdown has given me that time, and you have given me your valuable help too.
I have had 2 businesses and looked after my 6 children as a single parent after my husband died. At 68 my time is now my own. You have given me a new lease of life. Thank you so much.
