Relax and Calm Your Nervous System with the Sound of Humming – Tips for Living Mindfully

Les is back with another tip for living mindfully. When you are looking for something to quickly help you calm down your nervous system and release stress, the sound, energy, and vibrations can be just what you need.

Meditation, sleep meditation, mindfulness exercises, and positive affirmations can be useful tools for healing from past trauma. When we experience stress in our lives, whether it is chronic low levels of stress, or intense traumatic events, a cascade of events is triggered in our mind and body that can lead to disease. As we gain awareness of this process, we are able to practice realigning the communication between our mind and body to experience greater well-being.

Trauma can be very serious. Please seek support from professional help if you are struggling.

    Hi, my name is Katie and I’ve been living under some very stressful circumstances for the past 4 years. It has taken a terrible toll on my physical and emotional health and so I search for natural methods to combat the high cortisol and the fight or flight that I face every morning.
    Your meditations and videos have been a lifesaver to me. I was especially thankful to learn about the vagus nerve and the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. It gives me something practical and I pray effective to combat the effects of stress.
    I am so grateful to you and I pray I will be able to report very soon a complete turnaround in my health as a result.

    Hello,

    I recently came across your guided meditations. They are some of my favorites I have ever used. I stumbled across a sleep humming meditation, focus on the Vegas(?)Nerve, and can not find it again. It worked wonders for me! I work with people who have co-occuring issues. I think this particular meditation would be an incredible tool for them and many who I work with. Can you please provide me with this sleep/humming meditation? I have searched all through you tube, no luck. I admire and truly appreciate all you are doing. One day, I may sign up for one of your mindful courses. Please keep safe and well.
