Why Hypnotherapy (Especially if I'm "Not Broken?")
There is a difference between trying to “fix” ourselves (all the stuff we may see and not love about ourselves) and the invitation to evolve and transform a thing that holds us back in our lives.
I wrote my new book, You’re Not Broken, because, like many of my hypnotherapy and coaching clients, I’ve suffered a lot with perfectionism, hyper-achievement, and staying relentlessly busy to stay ahead of the critical voices in my head. The ones who’ve told me I’m not enough. That no matter how well I perform or how much I achieve, it could always be better or more. The ones that tell me I can’t rest or relax, because I’ll miss some crucial detail. The ones that tell me what I should want in my life, rather than helping me discover what I DO want.
These voices crop up in a lot of humans, it turns out. I became a hypnotherapist because this healing practice is what helped me silence my Inner Critics and gradually live the life I WANT to live—not the one I feel like I should live. Les and I spoke about how I wrote the book I needed most in our most recent podcast conversation. Listen here.
I’m delighted that I can now help my clients do the same—while helping them believe that they have everything they need inside them to change their harmful inner messages and not-helpful behaviors.
Here’s a quick quote from the book to spotlight who it’s for:
“I wrote this book for you. To give you a detailed snapshot of how hypnotherapy can help you release many of your dream-life blocks like guilt, shame, trauma symptoms, anxiety, self-doubt, or fear-related silence.
If you find that you slide into fight, flight, freeze, or people-pleasing mode at the slightest conflict, risk, or challenge, it’s likely that hypnotherapy could help you discover why you do that, plus help you dial those responses down so they feel manageable and right-sized–or disappear altogether.
If you desperately want to feel more ease, less pressure, and the space to *finally* be yourself (whoever the heck that is), then this book is deeply, profoundly for you, you beautiful, burned-out hustle-and-grinder. I can show you how to finally stop the relentless “doing,” and finally believe you are enough as you are.”
If I’ve named some of the challenges or emotions you face every week, I hope you’ll enjoy You’re Not Broken: A Compassionate Guide to Uncovering Your Inner Wisdom and Transforming Your Life With Hypnotherapy.
You can order your copy by clicking on the book title You’re Not Broken anywhere in this post.
The sooner you do, the sooner you can take a step forward to shift and heal those critical voices in your head to ones that cheer you on and actually lead you down the path you most want your life to take.
Bonus: The most recent meditative practice I published on the YouTube Channel is supportive of the work you'll do in the book, You’re Not Broken . Please enjoy this week's guided meditation to kick off your journey with me through the book. Let’s find peace and joy together and sustain it all year long.
Spoiler: Your critical voices and fear-based beliefs actually helped you survive. They did a great job helping you feel safe and protected up to this point. They are not mistakes—they’ve just outlived their purpose. It’s okay to gently allow them to retire. I’ll show you how, so that your future feels like the one you choose, not the one you’re stuck with.
It’s possible. Let’s GO.
With gratitude,
Sara
P.S. If you feel called to the work in You Are Not Broken, it would mean the world to me if you would leave a review of the book on Amazon.
